Lernziel:
Do you enjoy reading and talking in English? Want to develop and improve your English-language skills? This course is for upper-intermediate learners of English (B2) who wish to (re)train their speaking skills, get more comfortable with key aspects of grammar, and expand their vocabulary. The goal here is to be able to talk about many different topics, as well as to communicate effectively. Previous attendance in a B1 Refresher Course is NOT required.

Inhalt:
The main focus of this Upper-Intermediate (B2) Refresher Course will be critical thinking in the English language. We will take important English-language concepts, personalize them to our own lives, and show their usefulness in practical, real-world examples. Thus we will be prepared for any kind of discussion with other English speakers.

We will discuss British and American English, engage in meaningful conversation, and develop practical English that you can use in any situation, whether personal or professional. In discussions you will have the chance to express your thoughts and opinions on current and interesting topics – all in English! We will increase our vocabulary and ability to communicate through activities, self-study, games, and exercises.

We encourage learners to discuss what interests them, to talk about real topics and current events – all in a friendly and open atmosphere. There will be a variety of interesting and entertaining activities and topics waiting for you. Students from the Wintersemester 2024/2025 English B Refresher Course (B1, Intermediate) are welcome to attend this course. Even if you did not attend the Refresher Course in Wintersemester 2024/2025, you are also welcome. There is more to learn for anybody who wants some extra English practice!
